1. Overview

Welcome to MemeScreens. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of the MemeScreens website and any services we offer through it. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

MemeScreens is a platform for browsing, sharing, and downloading green screen video clips and meme footage. Users can create accounts, upload clips, like clips, and download clips for use in their own video editing projects.

2. Accounts

You may browse, search, and download many clips without an account. To upload clips or use account-specific features (such as managing your uploads or seeing your liked clips), you must create an account.

When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your password confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Site with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

3. User-Uploaded Content

Many clips on MemeScreens are uploaded by users. If you upload a clip, you are responsible for that content and warrant that:

• You own the clip, or you have all necessary rights and permissions to upload it and to grant the license described below.
• The clip does not infringe any copyright, trademark, right of publicity, or other right of any third party.
• The clip does not contain illegal, harmful, abusive, defamatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable content.
• The clip does not contain malware, viruses, or other harmful code.

License You Grant

When you upload a clip to MemeScreens, you grant us and other users of the Site a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, distribute, and download that clip for use in personal and creative video projects. This license exists to allow the Site to function — without it, we couldn't show your clip to other users or let them download it.

You retain ownership of your original content. You can request removal of your uploaded clips at any time by deleting them through your account or by contacting us.

Review and Removal

All uploaded clips are subject to review by MemeScreens administrators before being made publicly available. We may, at our sole discretion, refuse to publish, remove, or take down any clip for any reason, including but not limited to violations of these Terms, copyright concerns, or content quality. We are not obligated to provide a reason for any moderation decision.

Reuse of Clips

Clips made publicly available on MemeScreens may be downloaded and used by other users in their own video projects, subject to the rights of the original uploader and any applicable law. MemeScreens does not warrant that any particular clip is free from third-party rights claims. Users who download and re-use clips do so at their own risk and are responsible for ensuring their use complies with applicable law.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose
• Upload content you do not have the right to upload
• Upload content that is sexually explicit, depicts minors in a sexual or exploitative manner, glorifies violence, or promotes hatred against individuals or groups
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site, other accounts, or our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Site, including by submitting automated requests at a volume that degrades service for others
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Site at scale without our written permission
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code from the Site
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms.

5. Intellectual Property

The MemeScreens name, logo, website design, code, and original written content are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property law. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding without our written permission.

User-uploaded clips remain the property of their respective uploaders, subject to the license described in Section 3.

6. Copyright and DMCA

We respond to valid notices of alleged copyright infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If you believe content on our Site infringes your copyright, please see our DMCA Policy for instructions on how to submit a takedown notice.

We may terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers of copyright.

7. Disclaimers

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or the accuracy or reliability of any content.

We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any user-uploaded content, and we are not responsible for any user content.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MemeScreens and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of or inability to use the Site.

In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims related to the Site exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100) or the amount you have paid us in the past twelve months, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so portions of these limitations may not apply to you.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MemeScreens and its operators from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights, including any clip you upload.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Site or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violations of these Terms.

On termination, your right to use the Site ends. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification) will survive.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Material changes will be reasonably communicated, for example by posting a notice on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada, except where prohibited by applicable consumer protection law.
